Camp Kitchen, BBQ Cabanas & Gathering Space

A welcoming hub for guests to cook, relax, and connect. Our camp kitchen has plenty of room for preparing meals and sharing stories, all surrounded by peaceful bushland. Just outside, the gathering space features our largest communal firepit, a cosy spot to unwind, and sometimes even enjoy live music under the stars. Our main communal firepit fits 20 around it.

Wattleseed Cafe

Tucked inside Tathra Beach Eco Camp, Wattleseed Café is a sustainable, low-waste space designed to nourish the mind, body, and soul. Enjoy award-winning Alfresco Roast coffee, bush-tucker teas, wholesome eats, smoothies, and fresh-baked treats, all made with care and the best local ingredients from Alfresco Coffee Roasters, Tilba Dairy, and Drift Tathra. Settle in with a book, catch up with friends, or grab a take-away on your morning run.

Dedicated Macropod & Kangaroo Rest Area

Watch our local kangaroos and wallabies relax in their very own rest zone. This peaceful area gives guests a chance to observe wildlife up close while allowing our macropods a safe, comfortable space to co-exist.

Communal Firepits

Tathra Beach Eco Camp was born after devastating bushfires ran through the area in March 2018, so safety is always front of mind — especially when it comes to campfires. That’s why you’ll find communal firepits throughout the park, including a large shared pit for up to 20 people, plus smaller spots scattered across the grounds.

Settle in under the stars and enjoy the simple moments — crackling flames, good conversation, and toasted marshmallows. Our team light and stoke the fires, with a starter load of firewood delivered daily to each firepit.

Nature Based Playground

Our nature-based playground is designed to spark imagination and encourage kids to connect with the outdoors. Built with natural materials and surrounded by native landscape, it’s a space for climbing, balancing, exploring, and free play.

With plenty of room to roam and discover, it keeps little adventurers entertained while parents can relax nearby. It’s all about simple, screen-free fun in a setting that feels uniquely connected to nature.

Joeys Jump Track

Tathra is surrounded by stunning MTB trails, including some that leave right from our park. We also offer some great two wheeled fun at the park and Joey’s Jump Track is the perfect spot for kids (and big kids) to burn off some energy. Designed for all skill levels, the pump track is great for bikes, scooters, and anything that rolls.

With smooth turns and gentle rises, it’s all about building confidence, finding your flow, and enjoying the ride. It’s an easy favourite for families and a go to for hours of outdoor fun.

Beach Access

Our park is located only 100m away from stunning Tathra Beach, which four easy tracks taking you right to the water. Here you can swim, surf, walk, play, enjoy views of Tathra Wharf and even spot whales seasonally. Plus, the sunrise and sunset over Tathra Beach are pretty special.

Direct Access to Mountain Bike Trails

With direct access from the park, you’re perfectly positioned to explore Tathra’s renowned mountain bike trail network. From flowing singletrack to more technical sections, there’s something here for every skill level.

Ride straight from your site to a mix of forested trails, coastal views, and purpose-built tracks, making it easy to spend some time out on the bike. There’s also a dedicated bike wash-down and maintenance station onsite, so you can clean up and get ready for your next ride.

Bush Walk Trails

Surrounded by natural bushland and just 100m from the beach, there are plenty of walking trails to explore right from the park. Meander through native forest, take in the fresh coastal air, and enjoy the slower pace as you discover the beauty of the area on foot. With a mix of easy walks and more scenic tracks, it’s a simple way to connect with nature.

Cultural Yarn Time Area

Culture is deeply important to us and our Cultural & Yarn Time Area is a place for connection, learning, and respect. During most school holidays, Uncle Gary joins us for yarn time, sharing local Yuin history, bush tucker talks, language, and knowledge at our cultural site.

We pay our respects to the past, present and future Traditional Custodians and Elders of this land, the Djiringanj people of Yuin Country, and acknowledge their deep connection to the land and waters on which we work, rest and holiday.

Kitchen Garden & Chickens
Our kitchen garden is a small but much-loved part of the park, filled with seasonal herbs and edible plants that guests are welcome to pick and enjoy with their meals. It’s a simple way to connect with nature and add a little freshness to your stay.

Nearby, our resident laying chickens provide fresh eggs when available, making breakfast that little bit more special. Be sure to say hello to the girls and check out their recently upgraded chicken coop.

Rain Showers

After a swim, surf, or walk along Tathra Beach, our outdoor beach shower makes it easy to rinse away the salt and sand before heading back to your site or accommodation. It’s one of those simple conveniences that helps you make the most of beachside living.

Shared Bathrooms & Laundry

Being surrounded by nature doesn’t mean you have to miss out on the comforts of home. Our shared bathrooms are beautifully designed, spacious, and well maintained, with accessible options. Our amenities give you a comfortable place to freshen up after a day at the beach or out exploring. They also include a bathtub, which we know can be especially handy for families with little ones.

The shared laundry makes longer stays easy, with practical facilities available when you need to wash, dry, and reset during your holiday.

Frisbee Golf, Volleyball Court & Pedal Cart Hire

There’s plenty to keep the kids entertained around the park, from friendly games of volleyball and frisbee golf to exploring on a pedal cart. These simple outdoor activities encourage active play, family fun, and making the most of the fresh air and open spaces

Other Facilities

To make your stay even more convenient, we offer complimentary Wi-Fi throughout the park. Our Wi-Fi connection is sometimes a little ordinary, but our connection to nature is extraordinary!

We also provide an onsite dump point for caravan and camping guests, making travelling and longer stays that little bit easier.

As part of our commitment to caring for the environment, we also provide dedicated waste and recycling stations throughout the park and an onsite composting station for Food and organic greenwaste. We aim to be as low waste as possible and encourage guests to help us reduce our environmental footprint by recycling & composting what we can and disposing of waste responsibly.

Lagoon Mineral Pool – COMING SOON!

Scheduled for opening this summer, our new lagoon-style mineral pool will offer guests another way to relax, unwind, and connect with nature. Thoughtfully designed to complement the surrounding landscape, the pool will create a unique space for families, couples, and friends to enjoy during their stay.

Construction is currently underway, and we can’t wait to welcome guests to this exciting new addition to Tathra Beach Eco Camp.
